Wyndi Bradley
Director of King's Gate Ministries

I started my career with King’s Gate in 1996 when I became the Director of the Super Summer Program, then in 1997 I became the Mother's Day Out Director. In August of 2003, I became the director of King's Gate Christian School. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Central Oklahoma where I also completed my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. My wonderful husband Bryan and I have been married since 1986. The only thing I look forward to more than being with my family is being here with the children, families and staff. I have admired King's Gate for the way the staff loves and respects children since our daughter attended here as a preschooler. The King’s Gate, Mother’s Day Out, and Super Summer staff members believe, as I do, that all children are a gift from God. It is a privilege to be part of such a gifted and loving staff and to know the families and children. I am convinced more than ever that King's Gate is an exceptional place where staff and families work together to give each child the best start possible.
ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF

Shenae Nicholson
Office Manager

From 1992-1997, I served as Publications Coordinator for Our Lord’s Community Church. I loved visiting the King’s Gate classrooms and watching the children learn and absorb the world around them. I was fortunate to be a stay-at-home mom, and work part-time from my home for the next several years. In 2008, I went back to work full-time and joined the King’s Gate staff. I received my Bachelors in Journalism from Oklahoma State University. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Keith, for 19 years. We have 2 delightful sons, Tyler, 14 and Brady, 9. It is a blessing to be a part of King’s Gate, and feel that I have come home.

Paula Gage
Administration Support

The Lord leads and provides in amazing ways. In 1994 I began working in a church environment where I met my dear husband, Nelson. We have now been married over 10 years and have a beautiful and fun-loving 9 year old daughter, Hannah. When the opportunity arose to join the office staff for King's Gate Christian School in 2005 I knew it was another way God was showing me His path and provision for my family. We were so blessed to be able to have Hannah attend King's Gate for her first three years of early education. The loving christian environment provided by the teachers and staff is priceless.

TEACHING STAFF

Jillian Barr
Preschool and Pre-K Teacher

I am a missionary kid and spent most of my childhood overseas in Zimbabwe and in Russia. I graduated from Oklahoma Christian University in December of 2007, with a degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Bible. I love working with kids more than anything else I can think of. I stumbled upon a job at King's Gate while working with the two year olds in the MDO program. I immediately fell in love with King's Gate and everything it has to offer. These last few years at King’s Gate have been a blessing.
I am recently married to a wonderful and talented man, and can’t wait to see what God has in store for us. Thank you for letting me be a part of your children’s lives, it is truly a blessing and a dream come true.

Danielle Cloud
Preschool and Pre-K Teacher

Helen Dabney
Art Teacher

The Lord has been very generous in my life. He has also given me the desire to grow and share my knowledge of art with anyone willing to learn. I have had the opportunity to teach art and painting to ages all the way up to the college level. But it was the eager and expressive minds of my younger students that really cultivated my love for education. I have studied fine art both at Northern Illinois University and at the Figge Art Museum. I contributed to the painting of a mural which is displayed in the permanent gallery of the Figge Art Museum in Davenport, Iowa. I have also spent much of my free time gaining experience as a volunteer art teacher through the Figge Art Museum. I moved to Oklahoma from Illinois so that I could follow God's perfect will by marrying my beloved husband, John. Little did I know that my Savior's plan would lead me to such a wonderful school, filled with the most lovely students, staff, and families that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Hannah Dougan
Kindergarten Teacher

As a King’s Gate alumnus, I have been a part of King's Gate classrooms in many roles for many years. I have been the trainer, leader and mentor for our teachers’ aids since 2006. I served as the kindergarten assistant in 2008, and a 2-day preschool assistant and the Accreditation Coordinator during the 2009-2010 school year. I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Degree in Family Life Education and a specialty in Child Development. I enjoy leading teacher workshops, collaborating with teachers and parents on behalf of children, and supporting children as they learn new things. In May 2010 I married the love of my life and best friend Joshua. We currently live in the Yukon area and are loving the blessings that God continues to pour out. I am blessed to be a part of the King's Gate family and am excited about working with the kindergarten children, not only as a teacher but also as a family friend.

Laurie Gillum
Science Teacher

I have been at King's Gate as a mom for 7 years and as a science teacher since 2001. I received my undergraduate degree at Lewis and Clark College in biology. For the next 6 years I worked as a wildlife biologist in the rainforests of Hawaii and the oceans of Alaska and Canada. I got my graduate degree from UMASS-Amherst where I did research on the Piping Plover along the barrier beach systems of Cape Cod, MA. For the next 6 years, I worked as the endangered species biologist for the state of Maryland and taught conservation biology at John Hopkins University. I married my best pal in college, Tim, and we have 3 children; Trevor-20, Haley-16, and Jack-12. King's Gate truly has impacted our family deeply. It was only through King's Gate leadership and staff that Tim and I were able to find and stay on the right track for Haley who has special learning differences. God truly brought the opportunity to me for teaching science here at King's Gate. I am finally able to teach science from a creation perspective and highlight so many of the truly amazing things in our world, giving God all the glory. I never imagined the depth of understanding that these kids would gain. I have been so blessed by passing these biblical messages on through God's creation.

Stephanie Hale
PK4 Teacher

As long as I can remember, I had the desire to teach children. I graduated from the University of Houston-Clear Lake receiving my Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in early childhood and mathematics. I continued my education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth where I received my Masters in Christian Education with a focus on childhood ministries. In 2000, while in Seminary, I married my incredible husband, Kent, who supports me in my love of making a spiritual impact in the lives of children. In 2004, God blessed us with a beautiful daughter, Jewel (6). She is excited to return to Kings Gate this year for 1st Grade and excited that I will be teaching at “her” school. Our family also includes Scooter, our seven year old beagle, and Zippy, our seven month old Spaniel Mix.

While in college, I felt God calling me to use my education to teach children in the local church. I have served on a church staff in Texas, and here in Oklahoma as a Children’s Minister with one of my responsibilities being to oversee the preschool/MDO ministries. Currently, I serve with several wonderful ladies on the Children's Ministry team where my family attends church. My favorite times when not with family, are spending one on one time with children and enjoying God’s creation. I am looking forward to returning to the classroom to help young children discover basic skills of learning, and teaching them about God’s love for each of them. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to work along side the amazing team God has brought together that is called the King’s Gate Staff.

Melissa Harms
Spanish and Elementary Teacher

I graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University in December of 2009 with a degree in Spanish and a minor in Sociology. I married my best friend in September of 2009 and we moved to Oklahoma City from Kansas City three months later. I joined the King’s Gate staff in the spring of 2010, and it has grown to have a very special place in my heart. God has given me a strong passion for learning languages and serving others through missions and teaching. I have been blessed with having the opportunities to study abroad in Seville, Spain, participate in an internship in Juarez, Mexico, and now, share what I have learned with the students at King’s Gate. I feel so privileged to be able to work in this wonderful environment and help kids discover more about God and the world around them.

There I taught children with special needs for another 4 years. I have been married to a wonderful man, Todd, for 17 years. We have three great kids that are 13, 10, and 6. I have had the privilege to work with King's Gate throughout the past 10 years, either as an MDO teacher, substitute teacher, or in accreditation completion. Chaning Schaff
Pre-K and Physical Education Teacher

I grew up right here in Oklahoma City with my parents and two older brothers. I am truly blessed to be part of a very close family. I recently just got married to the love of my life Lane, and we are getting settled into married life. I was a competitive gymnast through most of my childhood and then became a cheerleader in high school and college. My goal has always been to someday work with children and make a difference in their lives. Following many prayers, the Lord led me to King’s Gate.

I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in Family Life Education-Child Development. I am excited to have the opportunity to fulfill my goals of working with children here at King’s Gate. The staff and families are wonderful, and everything King’s Gate stands for is amazing. I feel that the Lord has truly blessed me with a wonderful family, unbelievable children and families to serve, and great friends to work beside.

Allison Taylor
Music Teacher

My husband, Aaron and I have two very adorable kids, Elisabeth and Nicholas. I love spending time with my family and playing the violin whenever and wherever I can. I received my masters in violin performance from the University of Central Oklahoma and completed my teacher's certification in music education. I adore all of my private violin students, the kids at the elementary school where I teach, and all the children at King's Gate I have had the privilege of teaching. In 2009 while my son Nicholas was attending Pre-K at King's Gate, I joined the music program and began teaching violin to the kindergarten, and the first and second graders. It is exciting to expand my role as the music teacher for all of the children at King's Gate. I attended King's Gate as a preschooler and it is fun to do what I love as part of the King's Gate staff.
